Alex is the Coolest

I have the coolest 6 year old cousin EVER. (His name is Alex.) He plays basketball and everything!!! I might be his smallest fan in the whole wide world, but I cheer the loudest. Last week, I told all of my doggy friends at school all about my awesome cousin. Alex doesn't have cheerleaders for his basketball team, so my friends and I decided we would be HIS own personal cheerleading team. Mommy made all of us cheerleading outfits in his colors... black and silver. We're working on all of our cheers so we can make him proud.

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Winter time can be a sad time for all of us puppy fashionistas. The cold weather does not allow for us to show off our slinky haute couture. I like to make my neighbors smile by strutting my stuff down the sidewalk in my newest gown, but the road salts keep staining all of my best silks. **sigh**

Tuesday night, I bundled up in my pea coat and set out to dance class. My Aunt Mary K. had a surprise for me... pink and black striped legwarmers and a scarf!!! Now I can prance in even the coldest weather without worries that hiding popperatzi will snap a photo of me not looking my very best. Don't I look cute?

YEAH!!!! The Steelers WON the Super Bowl!!!

This afternoon Mommy took sissy and me to the puppy park. Since it is puppy play time, I’m not allowed to wear ANY clothes at all and have to go IN MY BIRTHDAY SUIT! **sigh** I was sooooo embarrassed, but Mireille and I had a lot of fun playing tag with all of the other doggies.

It was SUPER BOWL time when we got back home. I was VERY sad that Peyton Manning was not playing, so I wore the Indianapolis Colt’s colors just for him. (I'm a Peyton Manning Fanatic.) I watched the WHOLE game and was so excited when the Steelers won.

Now only about seven more months until Mr. Peyton becomes a rock star again!

My name is Esméralda, but EVERYONE calls me Esmé. (I'm named after the gypsy in Victor Hugo's Notre-Dame de Paris.) I absolutely LOVE doggie fashion and want to be a super model when I'm all grown up. I recently won the fashion contest at the 2008 Paws in the Park. (Next stop… PARIS!) In my free time, I lead cheers for the Mizzou Tigers (even if I only get to watch them on TV).

A few months ago, I got a new baby sister named Mireille. I've been trying to show her the ropes, but she keeps trying to steal my clothes!!!. **sigh** Sometimes being a big sister is a lot of hard work, but a doggie's got to do what a doggie's got to do.
